Eurodoc is the European Council of Doctoral Candidates and Junior Researchers ( http://eurodoc.net/ ).  It is an international federation of 29 national organisations of PhD candidates, and more generally of early career researchers from 28 countries of the European Union and the Council of Europe.

At the Eurodoc 2019 AGM on April 3rd IFUT was voted in as a member of the federation.  Dr Darren Fayne, who represented IFUT at the AGM, said “Our membership of Eurodoc presents a massive opportunity for Irish postdoctoral researchers to engage with EU policy makers on issues such as a lack of career structure and supports, the precarious nature of employment and the perceived need to be mobile to have a future career”.

Eurodoc has 11 external working groups ( http://eurodoc.net/workgroups ) open to all interested researchers from national associations so please contact Dr Fayne ( fayned@tcd.ie ) if you are interested in joining a working group.
