IFUT has written to all relevant institutions seeking the restoration of exam marking fees. The exam payments for all academic staff were cut by 25% in July 2013 as a part of cuts imposed by the Haddington Road Agreement. IFUT has been making efforts to reverse this cut. We raised this issue with the D/FHERIS and the IUA at the Higher Education Sector Oversight Committee. Despite the issues clearly being a sectoral matter, it was determined at the HESOG that further engagement at a local level is to take place on this matter.
