The Executive of the Irish Federation of University Teachers (IFUT) has decided today (Thursday June 11th) to defer to its July meeting a decision on a Recommendation regarding the Lansdowne Rd Agreement.
Mike Jennings, General Secretary of IFUT, said that a number of issues remain to be dealt with, including further consultation with IFUT members, full clarification regarding the text of the Agreement and the potential impact for retired members.
“Following this further period of contacts and discussion, the July meeting of the Executive of IFUT will issue a Recommendation and a Ballot will be held in September,” Mike Jennings said.
